BANDALOOP: Vertical Dance

In 2021, I joined BANDALOOP as a featured vocalist, writer, and performer in their two-year, internationally touring production, LOOM:FIELD. This multimedia show is about the devastating environmental destruction of the fast fashion industry and the power of cloth, thread and clothes in our lives. I wrote and performed original poetry, both in the air and on the ground, researching to create personalized texts for each production. I also co-wrote songs with music director Ben Judovalkis which were incorporated into performances. I performed as a vocalist and theater artist, and I trained in aerial dance to sing, perform, and dance on buildings. In addition to LOOM:FIELD, I performed in an original BANDALOOP commission presented at Yale University in October 2022, which I co-directed with Artistic Director, Melecio Estrella. I’ve performed in several projects with the company to date, including site-specific productions in Denver, CO; Oakland, CA; Lehigh, PA; Santiago, Chile; Atlanta, GA; Biddeford, ME; Gyor, Hungary, and the Museum of Art & History in Santa Cruz, CA, to name a few.
